SUSFANS focuses on complex questions that span across multiple disciplines. The research approach aims to define a holistic, integrated and coherent vision of what entails sustainable food and nutrition security in the EU and globally. It underpins a perspective on how EU policies on farming, fishing, food and nutrition could contribute to that vision with greater efficacy than today.
For this project it is of the utmost importance to be challenged and advised by an independent group of prominent scientists. We are proud and grateful that the following renowned scientists are members of the SUSFANS Project Advisory Board:
- Professor Jacqueline Broerse, Professor of Innovation and Communication in health & life sciences (with a specific focus on diversity and inclusion), Athena Institute, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam
- Dr John Ingram, Food Systems Programme Leader, Environmental Change Institute, University of Oxford
- Professor Monique Raats, Director of the Food, Consumer Behaviour and Health Research Centre and Associate Dean Research and Innovation for the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences (FHMS), University of Surrey
